HIFU Body is the latest technology to erase fat. The controlled thermal effect results in the destruction of targeted fat as well as contraction of collagen in the treatment area.
The HIFU hand piece delivers focussed ultrasound waves to a precise depth to cause death of the fat cell. The controlled movement of the handpiece results in a grid of treated fat cells. The high frequency of the ultrasound wave results in rapid heating of the fat under the skin, leaving the skins surface unaffected. However this energy increases in temperature as it gets deeper within the skin due to the energy of the HIFU causing cellular friction. Exposing the fat cell to this high temperature causes rapid cell death (necrosis).

How does body HIFU work?
HIFU for the body is a non-invasive method for improving your appearance. It is a body contouring treatment that destroys fat cells deep within the skin. It can also target sagging skin, smoothing cellulite and tightening stubborn pockets of fat. HIFU works by delivering focused ultrasound waves to the skin, which heat up the tissue underneath and cause cellular damage
Is there any downtime after the procedure?
Due to the non-invasive nature of HIFU treatments, there is no downtime from the procedure. You’ll be able to return to your normal day to day life straight away.
How long until I see results from HIFU?
Some clients do enjoy immediate effects; however, the ultimate lifting and toning results will take place over the following 2 to 3 months. During this time, old collagen is replaced with new collagen that has a higher level of elasticity. As the collagen-building process continues, you may see further improvements up to 6 months after the procedure.
Is HIFU painful?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different, you may experience slight discomfort while the ultrasound energy is delivered it’s a positive sign that the process is working. We can discuss this in more detail if you have any concerns and a pain killer could be given before the treatment.
Does HIFU have any side effects?
You may experience slight redness for up to an hour following the treatment, and a small percentage of our clients do experience minor swelling and tenderness. These symptoms are temporary.
How many HIFU body treatments are required?
Generally anywhere between 2 to 4 treatments per area are recommended, with intervals between 1-3 months, however some clients see results after a single treatment.
What body areas can be treated with body HIFU?
We can treat any area that has fat on the body, this includes the following:

What happens during the procedure?
We begin by marking the areas to be treated and applying a clear gel before treatment commences. During treatment, ultrasound energy is projected through at a depth of 13mm to target and destroy fat cells permanently and deliver uniform, predictable results after one single treatment. HIFU ultrasound energy, penetrates through the skin layers and into the targeted fat tissue, creating a powerful thermal effect in the body which destroys fat without damaging the surrounding tissue. At the same time, high-intensity ultrasound speeds up the body’s metabolism as well as shrinks skin fibers, meaning the treatment will also work to tighten and lift the skin. During the procedure, you may notice a slight prickling sensation.
What happens after the procedure?
Following your HIFU procedure, you will be able to continue with your day-to-day activities as normal. You will notice an instant lift which will continue to gradually improve over the following nine months. For fat reduction, the results will become apparent over the following 2-3 months as the fat cells continue to breakdown over time.
What results can I expect to see?
Results can be seen from 2 to 4 months post-treatment. The average permanent fat reduction of the treatment area after just one single session is typically 2-4cm. It is important to be aware that these treatments continue to work over a number of months, as they work on your body’s own natural elimination process.
